MY REVIEW

I’ve read all the books by this author and yet again he’s shocked me with his fantastic writing abilities.

DI Gravel is on the hunt for a serial killer. DS Laura Kesey is on the investigation with him. Young girls are being abducted, tortured and killed.

Gravel is delighted when his daughter Emily moves back in with him. The serial killer has set his sights on Emily as his next victim. Can Gravel and Kesey find the killer before it’s too late?

I sat down to read a few chapters of this book this afternoon and read it all. I could not put it down. I highly recommend you read this book. In fact go back and read his previous books as well because this is definitely one of my auto click authors.

M. Malone

NYT & USA Today bestselling author M. Malone lives in the Washington, DC metro area with her husband and their two sons. She holds a master's degree in Business from a prestigious college that would no doubt be scandalized by how she's using her expensive education.

Since starting her indie journey in 2011 with the runaway bestselling novella "Teasing Trent," her work has appeared on the New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists more than a dozen times.

She's now a full-time writer and spends 99.8% of her time in her pajamas.

Nana Malone

USA Today bestselling author Nana Malone's love of all things romance and adventure started with a tattered romantic suspense novel she "borrowed" from her cousin.

It was a sultry summer afternoon in Ghana, and Nana was a precocious thirteen. She's been in love with kick-butt heroines ever since. With her overactive imagination constantly channeling her inner Buffy, it was only a matter a time before she started creating her own characters.

While she waits for her chance at a job as a ninja assassin, Nana works out her drama, passion and sass with fictional characters every bit as brazen and kick-butt as she thinks she is.

MY REVIEW

Wow. What a read. I started this last night and as soon as I got kids to school this morning I was back in bed reading the rest of this story. This is a debut novel and it is written brilliantly.

This book is set in the 1950s. I haven’t read books from decades ago in so long, probably my teenage years when I inhaled Catherine Cookson. This book brought me back to those years with a smile on my face. The book is set in Ireland so my smile was even bigger. Familiar names had me in a happy bubble.

The Abandoned is Peggy’s story. She’s had a real tough start to life. She’s a tough cookie and knows how to fight for survival. Any opportunity she sees she grasps with everything she has and tries her best.

While Peggy fights her conscience she finds herself in the middle of the criminal world. Is she strong enough to hold her own??

Cannot praise this author highly enough. I will be recommending this to anyone who listens. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

MY REVIEW

I read this a couple of weeks ago and I’m still trying to put my words together to write a review as I don’t wanna spoil it for anyone.

The title is a clue that this story has lies in it, plenty of them. Jenny , Freddie and David are the main characters and we hear the story through their point of view. I found myself wondering who to believe which is probably what the author wanted.

It took a while for me to get into this story so I’m glad I stayed with it. Very good storyline with some greats twists and turns that kept me reading. My first read by this author and certainly not my last.

BLOG TOUR

A totally heart-stopping crime thriller and the first book in the Detective Josie Quinn crime fiction series.

Amazon: myBook.to/VGSocial
: http://ow.ly/u0Y130hMwvY

The little girl curled into a tiny ball as the chamber grew colder around her.
“Please,” she whispered, rocking back and forth. “I want to go home.”

When Isabelle Coleman, a blonde, beautiful young girl goes missing, everyone from the small town of Denton joins the search. They can find no trace of the town’s darling, but Detective Josie Quinn finds another girl they didn’t even know was missing.

Mute and unresponsive, it’s clear this mysterious girl has been damaged beyond repair. All Josie can get from her is the name of a third girl and a flash of a neon tongue piercing that matches Isabelle’s.

The race is on to find Isabelle alive, and Josie fears there may be other girls in terrible danger. When the trail leads her to a cold case labelled a hoax by authorities, Josie begins to wonder is there anyone left she can trust?

Someone in this close-knit town is committing unspeakable crimes. Can Josie catch the killer before another victim loses their life?

Utterly gripping crime for readers who adored Angela Marsons, Helen Fields and Robert Dugoni. You will be sleeping with the lights on once you discover the first in this unputdownable new crime thriller series.

MY REVIEW

This is book one in the Detective Josie Quinn series and my first read by this author. After reading this I know Vanishing Girls will not be my only read by this author.

Josie is a detective on suspension from her job. When girls start vanishing she asks her boss to let her work on the case but he says no. So she does her own investigations.

Great praise to the author for a brilliant start to this series. I read this in one day as I couldn’t put it down. I found it to be a gritty well written story with plenty of twists and turns. I’m really looking forward to reading more from this author and of this series.

AUTHOR BIO

Jennifer Bene is a USA Today bestselling author of dark romance. She’s been in the Amazon Top 50, and had #1 top-selling books in BDSM, Suspense, Thrillers, Horror, and more. While she’s been writing for years, it's always been the dark stuff that makes her tingly, so her books are full of aggressive alpha males, feisty women who may or may not have a submissive streak, and intense, psychological story lines. Don’t worry though, she always insists on having a nice little happily-ever-after, because without the dark we'd never appreciate the light.

My review

MY REVIEW

Today was one of those days that I needed to read. My mind was on over drive and I needed to escape. Well I got that with Imperfect Monster. Apart from making dinner I pretty much inhaled this in one read.

Nicky shows up at Paulo Garcia’s to save her brother. Unfortunately she underestimates how much of a nasty man Paulo is. Andre is one of Paulos men. When he sees Nicky something happens and he wants to protect her. Can he do what he’s gotta do and save Nicky?

I would have liked Nicky to put more of a fight up but I love a well written insta love story. I read fiction to escape the real world and this book certainly did that so it gets a five star from me. I’m looking forward to reading more from this author.

MY REVIEW

This is book one in the Detective Anna Gwynne Series. It’s my first read by this author and I really enjoyed it.

When Chris Hopkins went to his stable to check on his daughter and her friend he finds his daughter Nia missing and her friend unconscious. The police believe she’s been taken by the same man who killed Emily Risman eighteen years ago. When Detective Anna Gwynne takes charge of the case she doesn’t believe he’s the killer and tries to find the real killer.

I thought this was a well written fast paced read. I’d have loved to read more about Detective Anna’s personal life so hopefully we get that in book two. If you like police procedure reads then I definitely recommend you read this one.

Mark was born in Huntingdon on the 4th February 1961, he is 56 years old.  The son of a bricklayer, he was raised in the small rural village of Southoe, which is situated between Huntingdon and St Neots.  Mark was educated at Southoe, Brampton and at Hinchingbrooke School in Huntingdon.  He spent the last year of his education studying in Hinchingbrooke House, which features on the books front and rear cover.  After leaving school in 1978 he then spent the first 25 years of his working career with American chemical giants DuPont, working for DuPont in St Neots, Stevenage and Cambridge.  Since then he has run his own business (a Driving School), and has also worked as an FDAP accredited Drug and Alcohol Worker throughout Cambridgeshire.  Mark has two grown up children, a son called Matthew and a daughter called China, they both live locally in Huntingdonshire.

Mark first became interested in Ghosts and the paranormal following a personal experience which happened to him in 1976.  This experience was to have a profound effect on his life, and this is all fully explained within the book.  Mark was only 15 years old at that time, and he has been fascinated by Ghosts and the paranormal ever since.  The paranormal is a very broad subject, and Mark's particular area of interest is predominately Ghosts, Hauntings and Poltergeist phenomena.  His early interest was encouraged by his late uncle Trevor Kenward, a long term and highly respected member of the world famous 'Ghost Club.'   The 'Ghost Club' is the oldest psychical research organisation on the planet.  Its roots date back to 1862 when it was formed at Trinity College in Cambridge.  Former eminent members of the 'Ghost Club' include the famous author Charles Dickens, the actor Peter Cushing and paranormal experts Harry Price and Peter Underwood.

Mark was fortunate to receive expert tuition from his late uncle Trevor Kenward, and on two occasions was privileged to be given tuition and advice from Peter Underwood, the then President of the 'Ghost Club.'   For a long period of time Trevor Kenward's wife Marilyn (Mark's Aunt), was responsible for the 'Ghost Clubs' general finances and admin.   Mark is now semi-retired and lives back in Southoe, the village where he grew up.   He's a very keen Sportsman and his other passions include Reading, Classic Rock Music and traditional English Cider!   Thanks to his late father Harold (a born and bred Liverpudlian), he is also a lifelong and very passionate follower of Liverpool F.C.
